My work with clients focuses on their needs, but there are some basic approaches I use.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) helps individuals understand and heal different "parts” of themselves, like the critical part or the young child part, that has its own emotions and beliefs. By fostering self-awareness and compassion, IFS encourages integration and balance, helping people address inner conflicts and emotional wounds. The goal is to create a harmonious inner system, promoting healing and emotional well-being.

Focus Marital Therapy (FMT) focuses on personal responsibility and managing emotions that contribute to conflict and contention. Includes practical solutions for calming down, communicating more effectively, and becoming better people, which increases a sense of safety and intimacy.

Christian Counseling (when desired) blends traditional therapy with biblical principles, focusing on healing through faith. It emphasizes spiritual growth, prayer, and aligning emotional well-being with Christian values. This approach offers a compassionate, faith-centered space for individuals and couples to navigate challenges and deepen their relationship with God and loved ones.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) helps individuals process traumatic memories by using guided eye movements or other bilateral stimulation. This technique reduces the emotional intensity of distressing memories, making it effective for trauma, PTSD, and anxiety. The goal is to help clients reframe and heal from past experiences, leading to emotional relief and resilience.
